In the early morning of the next day, we set off along the largest salt lake in California-Salton Sea for about an hour and a half to reach our destination today: Salvation Mountain. In recent years, it has attracted countless travelers and believers. This large-scale art installation full of childishness is actually made by Leonard Knight, an 80-year-old and almost blind artist who has used mud bricks, dead trees and other materials with his own hands for nearly 27 years of life. And this also includesKnight’s firm belief and love. In addition to the Mountain of Redemption, Knight has also built a small house (The Hogan), an unfinished museum, three antique trucks, earthmovers, and ships that symbolize Noah’s Ark.He colored them with hundreds of thousands of gallons of paint and wrote various poems from the Bible. God is Love! In the evening, he returned to Los Angeles to end a two-day and one-night trip.
